Hi, we're Dorothy and Hamilton King. For the better part of the last 15 years we have worked in corporate roles. We spent our twenties in New York City learning the grit it takes to build. For Dorothy that was all launched out of a background in fashion merchandising - retail, ecommerce and fabulous products but on the business side. For Hamilton, this has been across media and partnerships. At Snapchat and then with Krispy Kreme, Hamilton spent years figuring out how to bring people, brands, and ideas together to make something work.

We also both grew up watching our father's build their businesses. So maybe it wasn't a surprise that as we settled into Charlotte, NC and became parents, the entrepreneurial drive came in. In 2023, Dorothy launched Dot Com Consulting. A business built on delivering fractional, flexible ecommerce solutions for small and growing businesses. Three years and dozens of clients in, she loves this work more than ever.

But Dorothy wasn't alone in wanting to build. For years, Hamilton had kicked around the idea of building a blue-collar business a little differently. Something simple on the surface, but built with real care behind the scenes. A business where great service, a strong brand, and sweating the small stuff could all matter.

Bluebird Pool Co. was born with a pretty simple goal: take great care of people, do the work the right way, and build a brand we’re proud to put our name on.

Two entrepreneurs under one roof might be a little crazy but we wouldn't have it any other way.
